Robert Hess is an Army veteran and successful corporate and non-profit executive. He sits down with our Founder, Dwayne Edwards, and shares his journey through his 25 years of service in the United States Army and his many successes beyond. Robert has founded numerous organizations and has held titles like COO and CEO across for profit and not for profit organizations.
In his interview, Robert shares about the stressors he experienced early in his career in Vietnam. He also shares that receiving an assessment by a psychologist allowed him to recognize that he had a mental health condition. Since then, Robert has proactively managed his overall mental health through regular physical activity. He cycles, does yoga, and plays pickleball. He also enjoys being in community with his fellow veterans. Robert’s proactive approach allowed him to navigate many challenges in his life, including cancer.
We’re committed to helping veterans move forward along their mental health journeys by providing comprehensive evaluations and independent medical opinions. We’re excited to share stories of perseverance and grit like Robert’s. If you are, or know of, a veteran who is proactively managing their mental health condition and want to share your story with our community, please send us an email at info@vmhaforvets.com.
